Rusty Nail
The Rusty Nail first emerged in the 1930s and enjoyed its heyday in the 1960s, becoming a staple in the cocktail world. With its Scottish heritage and straightforward blend of Whisky and Drambuie—a Whisky liqueur whose name comes from the Gaelic phrase meaning “the drink that satisfies” is a blend of Scottish heather and honey—this cocktail stood the test of time for decades. However, despite its rich history and smooth, honeyed flavour, the Rusty Nail has gradually faded from most bar menus and is now a rare order among modern drinkers. But being a Whisky drinking myself I fully recommend you try one.
