Single Malt whisky sour

Aye, I’ve got yer attention now, don’t I? The classic Whisky Sour’s been given a proper Scottish makeover. Instead of your usual whisky, we’re using a Malt Whisky to put a wee twist on this classic. The beauty of this recipe is that it’ll change depending on which Malt Whisky ye choose. Fancy something with a bit of a punch? Try an Islay Whisky for a Peaty Sour. For a smoother, gentler touch, go for a Lowland Whisky. For this one, though, I’m using Glenlivet Founders Reserve, which adds a lovely smooth and creamy texture to the mix.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Glenlivet Founders Reserve

  • 25ml Lemon Juice

  • 25ml Simple Syrup

  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Garnish

  • Lemon Slice

  • Maraschino Cherry

Method

1) Dry shake egg white in cocktail shaker

2) Add the rest of the ingredients along with ice and shake well to create foam

3) Fine strain into a rocks glass

4) Garnish with Lemon and Cherry
