Dark n Stormy

The Dark 'n' Stormy is a bold and spicy rum cocktail, thought to have originated with the Navy. Its appearance—dark rum layered over ginger beer—is said to resemble a stormy cloud hanging over the sea, perfectly capturing its name. This iconic cocktail is not only popular for its rich, warming flavour but also for its simplicity: with only three ingredients dark rum, ginger beer & lime, it’s remarkably easy to make.

Ingredients

 

  • 50ml Goslings black seal rum

  • 15ml lime juice

  • 75ml Ginger beer

Garnish

  • Lime wedge

  • Mint (optional)

Method

1) To layer the cocktail simply add the ginger beer & lime with ice to the glass

2) Stir gentle you don’t want to take the fizz out the drink

3) Using a bar spoon add the rum slowly

4) Garnish with lime wedge
