Cuba Libre

Look I know what you’re thinking, “It’s just a Rum and Coke,” but the Cuba Libre is so much more—a cocktail that truly captures the essence and character of rum. While it’s often made casually, but using a high-quality white rum elevates the experience, bringing out the depth and complexity of the spirit. Brands like Flor de Caña 4-Year, Plantation 3 Star, El Dorado 3, make excellent choices, each adding a unique layer of flavour to this classic drink.

Ingredients

 

  • 50ml Flor de Caña 4-Year

  • 75ml Cola

  • 15ml lime juice

Garnish

  • Lime wedge

Method

1) Add ice to a highball glass followed by the lime juice

2) Add the Rum followed by Cola

3) Give a gentle stir and garnish with lime wedge
