Scottish Bramble

Probably my favourite gin cocktail, the Bramble is a modern-classic. It is better suited to the warmer months when blackberries are in season, although I drink it year-round. It’s a riff on the classic Gin Sour template which, just by adding one ingredient, completely alters the flavour profile. It’s not difficult to make either.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Gin

  • 25ml lemon Juice

  • 25ml Simple Syrup

  • Drizzle Crème de Mûre

Garnish

  • Blackberries

  • Fresh Lemon

Method

1) Combine Gin, Lemon and syrup in shaker with ice and shake thoroughly for 10-15 seconds.

2) Strain into a rocks glass with crushed ice

3) Drizzle Crème de Mûre over the top and garnish with Blackberries and Lemon
