Heather Julep

It doesn’t get much more Scottish or refreshing than the Heather Julep. With just three ingredients—Blended Whisky, Heather Honey Whisky Liqueur (ideally Drambuie), and sugar—you’ve got yourself a proper Scottish treat. Regular ice won’t do this drink justice, so try using crushed ice if you’ve got it. It’s a brilliant, simple twist on the classic Bourbon-based Mint Julep, with a distinctly Scottish flair.

Ingredients

 

  • 75ml Blended Whisky

  • 15ml Drambuie

  • 25ml Simple Syrup

Garnish

  • Fresh mint sprig

  • Heather (optional)

Method

1) Fill Mule Mug or Rocks Glass with ice and shake all ingredients in a Boston Shaker

2) Strain into mug and pack with ice

3) Garnish with mint spring and heather
